Elektroavtobusat is the fruit of cooperation between the Israeli-Bulgarian company Chariot Motors Jsc. - Sofia. Haygar, the second largest bus manufacturer in China and Aouey, world leader in the production of ultracapacitors.
Nearly a year bus used in the scheme of urban January sevice of Sofia route of trolleybus 11.
Ultracapacitors on the bus do not contain toxic substances and an 8-year manufacturer's warranty, regardless of distance.
Maintenance Facts:
The maintenance cost of an e-bus is significantly lower than of a diesel bus:
• No internal combustion engine.
• No gear box.
• No exhaust system and no catalytic convertor.
• No cooling system, radiators, etc.
• No fuel injection systems.
• No oil, fuel and air filters required.
• No timing and driving belts.
• No need for urea tank and injection system.
Pollution Facts:
• Ideal burning of diesel produces 2.6 kg of CO2 per 1 liter – 2.2 kg CO2 per 1 km.
• Production of 1 kWh electricity produces 0.8 kg CO2 in coal & oil power stations and 0.52 kg CO2 in gas turbine power stations – 0.8 Kg CO2 per 1 km.
• E-bus will not pollute at all in the city, and will produce only less than 1/3 CO2 vs. the diesel buses.
• There will be significant national energy savings.
• E-bus is 2.5 times less less energy intensive in terms of kWh/km vs. diesel buses and 3 times less intensive vs. CNG buses.
